Lead Now, With Wisdom
Good leadership is like a mighty wind: we only know its presence by its effect. Its presence is heard, seen, and felt. We can’t take hold of it or stop it, we can only react to it. Great leadership is similar: powerful, proactive, unstoppable. Good leadership at work is often private, but the people being led demonstrate its impact. The quiet moments of mentorship, the dedication to the team and to their growth, the human and capital resources invested in building people, and more. All these are the silent, hidden power behind the leadership results that the world sees and admires. And this happens because the leader cares enough about the people and the mission, to invest the time, effort, and energy.
All relevance, impact, power, and the results that leaders seek can be found in people- in building people. And this is done through the love that the leadership has for the people, and the knowledge and wisdom that the leadership possesses. The world isn’t changed by knowledge or wisdom alone; it is changed by the knowledgeable and wise people who care enough to make the effort to effect genuine change. By giving of themselves, they make the world anew.
We believe that if you are not building people, you are not building anything.
Every great and enduring thing that humanity has achieved in its brief history, has been inspired by love. Many achievements are great, but most are hardly enduring. The majority of a person’s life’s work are just as fleeting as the lifespan of the mortal who created them. Love is the only thing that confers veritable immortality, for it is inspired and sustained by the very building blocks of life.
